I don't know about subs, but on aircraft carriers there is not much modification that needs to be done. There are enough separate berthing spaces that really just some training on what areas of the ship were off limits to the male personnel would be all that is needed.

Even so, they are in dock to get retrofitted for computers and such, not for maternity wards
