I think Im with Neebs on this. I honestly just dont pay any attention to most people anymore. I see them, I respond in whichever manner I need to (laugh, stare, point and fall over), then I file it away as unimportant to me.

If I had to say tho, Poser would be someone who thinks they are bad ass and when asked a standard biker question, they give you the blank stare, like that Repsol guy mentioned...however, a newbie does not qualify as they havent learned better yet.

I've met repsol guy. He was trying to tell me his had more power. I think the only reason he believed it was because he got worked over on the price and had to justify it somehow..

I still dont understand guys like that, or the others that come right out and say my 600 does 200mph and that sort of stuff. I would think if youre going ot make shit up at least have some facts straight.

I wont deny it is one SEXAY ass bike...but its still nothing more than plastics.

We had a guy in FL similar. He bought the repsol, some idiot installed a partial motogp style exhaust system and he thought that made it a MotoGp bike. He was so full of it it just wasnt worth the effort to explain to him...

I have long since given up on those guys, then again I dont go to too many bike nites or larger gatherings, usualy just a few of us meet after work, go for a short blast then stop to eat and head home.

Shit, I dont even ride right now, so I can say much about the folks in my new area, other than I know they like going fast in straight lines, and even tho we live 30 minutes from a track, not a one of them has ever been or really understands what it is.

The local tracks for us (NJMP and Pocono) are starting to attract the knuckleheads now. been a lot of crashes at recent events there and with different orgs, so sometimes its not even helpful having the track nearby. You would think they would learn a few things to be better riders but instead some take their street squiddliness and bring it to the track.

The TWFix definition of a "poser" is someone who doesn't ride or do things exactly the same way that "we" do!
