That was my point. Energy is one of, if not the most, heavily regulated industries in America. This has been the case pretty much since The New Deal era. I believe America's energy policy is messed up, but it certainly didn't get that way due to a lack of regulation.

I was just goading 101. Sometimes, when things impact people in a critical way, regulation is a must. You can't always have unchecked and unbridled capitalism over democracy.
