I looked on their website and sure enough, you could send in your Shoei helmet and they would examine it and send it back to you with a letter letting you know whether it was safe or not.
So I type up a short letter explaining the accident and box it up and send it to them and they sent it back 3 business days later with the letter. They examined the helmet shell and EPS liner and declared it safe for continued use!
Its nice having this letter from the manufacturer. It saved me about 4-500 dollars because I was looking at either the X-11 or maybe an Aria helmet.
