Do you park in spaces?

So, when you are out on the bike, (say you were running to walmart to grab a drink and a candy bar; don't judge me, after a ride) when you park, do you park in a parking space? Or do you park somewhere else, like the sidewalk next to the front doors, or in the little striped place between parking lot isles.

Personally, I think it is a waste of a parking space to put 1 bike in it. I usually park between the isles around the handicripple spaces (not blocking anyone). I normally see most bikes parked there. If I am riding with a few peops, we will all pull into a space or 2...

Where do you normally park?

i park in the handicapped lines next to the spaces, if there are none i'll park in a space.

It depends on which bike I'm on and the parking situation.

This week I have been on a loaner Rocket III. The thing is the size of a small car and it brand new, so it gets its own space.

Normally no, especially on the sportbike.

I'm the same. Not only do I think it's a waste of a space but unfortunately lots of cagers think the same thing. I'm afraid they'll hit my bike in some way. :panic:

You realize that space is there in order for handicapped people to be able to safely operate a lift, right?

I know you actually don't see it happen much, but ostensibly that's what the marked-off space alongside the cripple spots are there for.

I ride through the store.

I don't park there... I park usually at the end of the isle (in the front) normally where they paint the crosswalk... but I don't block the spaces or the crosswalk.

I don't park in the striped spots, but like the end of the isle (no stripes) spots:

If I'm runnin into Wally World, I'll park on the sidewalk (there's always other bikes parked there). I dont' park in the striped area next to the handicapped spaces (since that's where they open their doors and might need to roll out a wheelchair) but if there's a striped island next to a regular spot, I'll park in it.

But if I'm not alone (i.e. more than just my bike) and we stop someplace, I'll use a regular space. I don't think it's a "waste" of a space at all -- It's a registered vehicle that I pay taxes on, therefore I'm entitled to a full space if I so choose (many places I just don't choose to, just to keep the bike safer).
