Worst Part of Winter Riding

The cold has never been a problem for me. I've worn a snowmobile suit, two pairs of longjohns and socks, and a baklava. And Hippo Hands are the best thing for warm hands. I ride with summer gloves underneath. I don't know why no one else uses them.

I've also ridden on snow, slush and ice. Crashed on ice once. It's a real skill to ride a bunch of miles on a curvy road, staying in a single tire track because of snow in the center.

But when I was riding yesterday, it was very sunny. The sun is at a very low angle and will get worse till the end of December. It seemed that every time I came around a corner the sun was right in my face. I couldn't see a thing. That really sucks.

I just take the snowmobile.

that and I imagine the sun glare'n off the snow makes it 10x worse...

actually, this one is an anti-fog insert that goes into a clear visor - it has yet to fog :dthumb:

intresting... I loved my fog city insert. it was impossible to fog up... but it never got dark enough for direct light... still needed to squint a bit. but if it got darker it'd make transitions like a shaded corner impossible to see... so... :idk:
