Body Position, Old School Vs New School
Anybody read this article about body position in Sport Rider: http://www.sportrider.com/ride/146_0...ion/index.html
I read it twice before I figured out that old school is chest over the tank (and I assume) counter steering. New school is leaning way off with the butt and upper body. I thought old school cornering was pushing on the inner handlebar, or countersteering. If your upper body moved because you were pushing that way, so be it. That's what I used to do. Now I lean my upper body off the bike for (almost) every corner, and lightly push on the bar. Hey, I ride just like Eric Bostrom. |
I've read it a few times, always looking for articles to read
|
Nold School.
I don't hang it all off as much as Bostrom, but I also use more upper body than Hodgson. Part of being built like a gorilla. |
In both styles they're still countersteering

I ride more like Ponch and John.

I ride like me. If I have to say I ride like anyone that would be my hubby, but what could you expect he is the one that taught me.
This means very little hanging off the bike. |

that's correct! i myself am new school(hanging off the bike), makes more sense to me and seems to work much better as far as fast corner speed |
I'm working on new school.....but still have a long way to go.
