Southern Rally 2012
 

The 5 people that bothered to show up and new Ginger decided we want to do Little Swiss again next year. There is a ton to do there and we only got to scratch the surface. I want to do Callaway Peak at Grandfather Mtn and there is a bunch of little gravel roads that have potential. More than enough asphalt surfing for the street crowd and BRP for the scenery crowd. We still need to go explore Mt Mitchell too.

Big Lynn Lodge was amazing to us, so we are going to try and block out a building or more if we can get more people this time. They didn't mind our constant loud banter about strippers and porn during dinner and breakfast.

We are going to move the date back to the early june/late may time frame for next year. Any of you fuckers that skipped this time, interested for next year? We will probably start working on a date and blocking rooms at the beginning of 2012.

I absolutely want to come. Hopefully by then I will have a streetworthy machine to ride down that I wont worry about breaking down every 45 miles. I'm tired of having to miss these things.

its well worth the trip. We decided to check out the backroads by the hotel, we went past the hotel on the road there and holy shit it got crazy fun. I figured trip knew about it and he said he didnt, he figured we would just go that way.

NC 226A is probably one of the best roads I've ever seen, 190 mostly banked curves in 12 miles, 3:30 on a saturday and almost no traffic.
