Does your gear match your bike?

Just wondering if you try to match your gear to your bike? I actually try to match it all with the helmet but I do have a set that matches the bike too.

Jacket does not match...wanted a red one but got the blue for $80. :panic: $300 less than if I had bought a new red one. :panic:

I didn't match my bike for years. I usually ended up buying green gear because it would be on sale. finally got a green bike 3 years ago.

I don't care if I match, mater of fact, I'd rather be an eyesore of mismatched colors so people will notice me more.

Ninjakel 03-29-2009 11:34 PM

Nope, my bike changes colors too much

njchopper87 03-29-2009 11:35 PM

I bought my gear before the bike, but I think it turned out pretty well. My bike only has basic colors though, so pretty much anything will go with it.

Cutty72 03-29-2009 11:35 PM

I prefer black/grey/white gear... so yeah, that kinda goes with anything, especially since i ride a black bike.

Helmet should be loud though...

Same for me. I try to keep my gear to be black grey/silver or white.

tommymac 03-30-2009 01:44 AM

*I had mostly black red and white gear which worked with my tl and even my track bike (tl is red and gsxr was all white) but my priller is dark blue. Now I have a blue perfed jacket and just ordered the A* gloves in blue, but my helmets are still red, and my slayer helmet is more black but its slayer so thats ok:rockwoot:

When you put the stars on your bike, you should have used the A* logo instead of regular stars.....

Dave 03-30-2009 01:57 AM

red n black bike. red n black leathers

rogue 03-30-2009 01:58 AM

Considering my bike is silver, it goes with just about anything.

Meh, sorta. It all matches (or coordinates) with each other. My jackets are black, black, white, and black & red. My gloves are all either black or red. My boots are all black. My helmet is red, black & white. (my OLD bike was green & white, my current bike is red w/black).

Rider 03-30-2009 08:24 AM

No. I wear red primarily for visibility, but I've never owned a red street bike.
All of my dirt bikes have been red but my gear was always blue.

marko138 03-30-2009 09:37 AM

Nope. Not at all.

Antwanny 03-30-2009 11:34 AM

Nope all black ftw, so i guess it kinda matches the zx10

My hjc helmet, JR mesh and JR gloves that I started with were all blue and black so they did match. Then when I started buying newer/mostly higher quality gear I went with black so it would match whatever I buy next. Ive now got 2 pairs of black a* gloves, a black a* jacket, silver/white shoei and will have black a* boots within a few weeks. Then all thats left is pants and eventually Id like to get a 1 piece if I start getting into track days.

pickle.of.doom 03-30-2009 11:55 AM

I have a Blue bike, a Yellow bike, and a Black/Silver bike... there is no matching. My gear is mostly black anyway though.

z06boy 03-30-2009 12:16 PM

Helmet and jacket kind of do.

Yamerhaw 03-30-2009 12:52 PM

my jackets, leathers, gloves, boots match, but i got a wide assortment of helmets, some of them dont match

DLIT 03-30-2009 02:41 PM

My bike's black and my leathers (jacket and 1-piece), boots and gloves are black and my helmet is the grey Kagayama replica. I would have the Kagayama regardless of what color my bike is. I generally try to match everything else though.

the chi 03-30-2009 03:41 PM

Yep. Altho mainly just because Im not a fan of color. I like white, silver, and black. My gear is either one, or all of those shades at any given time.

fnfalman 04-01-2009 02:57 PM

I match my gears' colors to the "theme" of the bike. For example, the BMW has a set of blue&white checkered outfit that coordinates with BMW Roundel logo. The KTM has a set of black&bright orange leathers. The Aprilias get either red/black with Italian tricolore initials, or orange red with some sort of tricolore theme. I know, it's lame but I can't help it, I'm too damn vain for my own good.

Oh, and the track leathers is the yellow&red outfit to signify the State of New Mexico.

JK 04-01-2009 11:57 PM

my gear doesnt even match my gear
