tire losing air - cage

i just jacked it up in the parking lot, no objects in the tire. bad valve stem ?

Leon 02-18-2009 10:17 AM

pump it up with air, get a spray bottle with water and a little bit of soap. Spray entire tire and see where the air is coming out of.

If you don't want to get dirty, call friendly tire, they're in margate and are very reasonable. 954-977-9445

BobTheBiker 02-18-2009 12:10 PM

since you dont see anything stuck in the tire, check the valve stem, and both beads. I had a ZX10 rim here that wouldnt hold air, turns out there was a bunch of nasty shit on the bead that had to be cleaned off and it sealed MUCH better. worth a look.

AquaPython 02-18-2009 12:14 PM

sorry , but whats the bead on a tire?

Spray the soapy water where the tire meets the rim...all the way around, inside and outside.

Leon 02-18-2009 12:59 PM

Take it over to friendly. It shouldn't be more that $10 to fix it.

err.. I was implying "if you can catch me" instead of "when you can catch me"

the icon was supposed to represent a u chasing me.

Leon 02-19-2009 01:23 PM

I don't have to catch you, just walk up to you when you're not looking and yank that arm right out of the shoulder. Should be a good time.
