Poll: TWFix Rally Location
 

Ok let's see where you guys want to go. I am going to turn on the option to see who voted for what.

Options:

Normal TWFix Gap Rally, only stay somewhere cheaper. Tapoco is getting too pricey.

Meet up with CFers at Suches and combine rallys

Other location

Come farther north.

Suches! I'd love to meet and ride with some of you!

I voted Suches... I've heard great things about it, and we're heading to the Gap in May anyway.

I didn't see the option for Harrisburg Pennsylvania. If it's in HBG I'll be there...otherwise...:panic:

Yeah but it's about 12 hours too far south.

Fayetteville Arkansas, I got room in the back yard for 12-15 tents and the Ozarks are free...

Now really Can we get a central location?? Maybe we should have more than one? Perhaps Indy and a couple others, one for riding, one for spectating, one for partying?

OR we make the rally a real rally and tour together. Meet up in one state cruise 8-12 and let people join in and drop out as time and mileage allow?:idk:

I'll be at rally this year, where ever it may be, so long as school is out. i'll be at Indy as well. and where ever else things may be going down.

I am not getting moto parking and I am getting GA tickets and I am sitting on the mounds and in Indy 500 turn 4 GA grandstand for the races this time.

nah, the ones we got werent even that good. me and trip ended up running around and sitting at an S turn across the brigdge, got some good action there.

I really liked the mounds there. I have a pretty sweet video clip I'll have to upload to PB. I guess a few people can buy car parking tickets then we will just split em however many ways.

That's the plan for me at least. I think Ebbs is going to ride up here from Miss. and we are going to car pool out there from my place.

Only thing you gotta consider is the weather, if its nice next year, its gonna be so much more packed, so we'll have to get some chairs and a blanket and shit.

donno if i'm gonna drive or ride yet. may ride down to piz's and drive with him, or if we get some people comming from near/around me just hook up with them.

either way i'll be there AT LEAST by thursday, around noon. I dont want to miss out on the festivities. and not leavin till monday morning.

It's labor day weekend this year, so most people have off on monday.

From what I've heard of the Gap, I'd say anywhere but. LEO, semis, lane crossers, etc, etc, etc, in 10x the numbers you'd find anywhere else doesn't sound like fun to me.

Yes, please. One groups' backyard is a full day's ride (10+ hours) for those of us that are freezing our faces off right now.

Well when you have a seasoned gap local like me and a lot of forum members that have been to the gap by now, it's not a bad place. We make sure we do gap runs when leo's are at a minimum or nonexistent. These times are also during slow times in the gap where what you describe is rare. Most semi's are escorted now. It's not as bad as you hear. Plus that is one road. This place is filled with roads that aren't packed during the middle of the day. It's paradise down here.

There are better roads than that like drewpy's pancake road and the little dragon. Riding out to highlands is always a blast too.

I'll be driving with my bike in the rear of my truck to Trips. probably get there Saturday a week before the indy race (to trip's) ride the gap and local area for a couple days then head up to Indy... I will be there wed night. I want to get up and go to the pit walk on Thursday.

As for this year... depends on when/where it is, and how much leave I have accrued and the $$ issue... we'll go from there.

I've already made a 1300 mile trip during a tropical storm one way to attempt to attend the last CF rally, so I'm game for anwhere. As a matter of fact, let's have another one at a different time from the one in Suches in May, that way I can go to two!
