Winston-Salem, smack in the middle of the state. Not bad because its only a couple hours to the mountains, or like 3-4 to the beach. Btw, been riding about 2 1/2 years. the ER-6 is my 2nd bike. Started on a hyosung gt250r (ugh, I already know).

Welcome! Need to get some more NCS folks posting here too. :)

It was a good bike to learn on, I'll give it that. I just wish hyosung was more supportive of their products. It was impossible to get parts for the bike.

But the bike has some great points. Its nimble, it actually feels like a SS bike except for the speed. Get 50-60 mpg easy, can go about 200-250 miles on a tank easy. Glad I started on a 250, then went to the ER-6n. |
Def a good decision, its such a great way to build your skill set before moving up. I've wondered about the hyo's, we dont hear from many folks that have them. I figured they'd be competition for the ninja 250 but they just dont seem to have taken off.
|
They were intended as competition, but hyo never put the effort into supporting the product to the point where they were competitive. Even under warranty the dealers didn't like working on them. Its a shame, because like I said, it was a fun bike, and they are great looking.

Welcome! :D

Hi new guy! Welcome, hope you stick around and post. For some reason all the new people that post an introduction never stick around.

Lol, trust me, I doubt anyone could make me feel out of place. I'm on a import car forum with a domestic sport compact.

Just stopping by to say hi too! :nee:

It's a fun car, and yeah, wrong wheel drive. But it's pretty quick (I don't claim fast), I dyno'd 237 whp, 207 tq stock. Fun to take through turns though.
|
Not too shabby. Pullied?
|
Only intake so far, haven't changed the pulley size yet, or swapped the injectors. I'm curious to see what it would do though, since just the GM stage kits yield a 20-40 hp gain, not to mention the more elaborate aftermarket tuners.
