Anyone Interested In The Scorpion Leather Suit?

$575... 46, 48, 50 I'm considering it...

BTW several companies sell this suit and advertise price matching so.... Maybe they'll hook you up if these guys don't have your size. For example....

I like the black and white.

The graphics and name are too "Affliction-esque" for me though.

Edit: watched the video, looks like a good buy at $575. The over-the-boots bottoms are a deal breaker for me though.

I'm too fat for a leather suit.

Yeah fuck that, I've never understood the appeal of that setup. Seems to me it wouldn't protect as well.

ok... but how does that have anything to do with the level of protection? my point was that they protect well enough for a MotoGP rider to use... I'm sure it's fine for us mortals...

RACER X 01-16-2011 02:55 PM

Our neighbor does the whole interior for wal marts , he says they are now catering to the area

He's done a wal mart in LA that has valet parking and a las Vegas style fountain
One near 3 Indian reservations, it has a teepee fascia
They are getting very nice, the one near us was the first 'green' wal mart

There is one somewhere in the Plano area that has an "upscale" layout with a big wine section

It makes you look like a dork wearing high-top hiking boots under skinny jeans

The second pic is just pants, not a race suit, right?

When you have a 1-piece race suit like the Dainese that fits over the boot, it's nice and snug all the way down the leg until it meets the boot, and then all of a sudden it bulges out around the boot. Looks dumb imo.

I don't see what he's talking about...:idk:

I'm thinking about having my current suit altered to do both like this... zip it up to wear in the boots, leave it unzipped to wear out of the boots.

Having asked the over under question a while ago I borrowed a suit earlier in the year that is an over the boot leg, and looks aside, it is more comfortable, it's one of those things you didn't realized that you missed it until you finally have it. There is also slightly more movement, not much but enough that you can notice it, noticably in the front to back movement.

Looks wise, people are used to seeing track suits tucked in the boots, anything out of the 'norm' looks wierd. I like the over the boot look myself.

Rangerscott 01-16-2011 10:13 PM

Man. Suite run big. I probably cant even fit a small (38) properly.

Dnyce 01-16-2011 10:18 PM

Lookswise, over the boot is nicer. If protection is the same, go with what u like. I prefer over the boot myself

derf 01-16-2011 10:44 PM

Just did a search looking for a picture of my suit and I stubled on a picture of marko that Gas took (at the bottom of the page)

Anyway back to the subject at hand, I started wearing my full length gauntlets inside my jacket, slightly more comfy.

and a picture of me in my suit, its tight in the crotch when I stand up but as soon as I am leaned over its super comfy.

I'd love to get a 1 piece. Just two things holding me back.

1. Price
2. Stinking it up.

I bought mine for $200 very lightly used, the guy said he wore it twice, I'm sure that meant a ton more, but the inside was clean and smell free. When I bought it, it was already a 2 year old design. It's really about just keeping your eyes open.

If you don't already, check out the WERA classifieds. Good deals there every now and again.

Great F'in picture. But it wasn't taken by me, just from my bike. Taken by My co-pilot Mrs Marko.
