Sat on some bikes today -

ZX-10r - Not really confortable
R-1 ..meh. Looks great but...
GSXr-1000rr - Great fit. Confy, nice with the black and maroonish.
All thats left is seat time on the CBR1K.

GSXr is in the lead.

that is all
thank you for your time

For those of us watching at home, how big are you, and what about the ergos was good/bad about each bike?

Trip 10-26-2009 09:16 PM

gixxers always seem like they are the most comfortable out of the bunch for me too.

shmike 10-26-2009 09:17 PM

$7k Paul.

Only $7k.

I see a CBR 1k in your garage before Christmas.

Dave 10-26-2009 09:20 PM

Homeslice 10-26-2009 09:30 PM

buy a buell

tached1000rr 10-26-2009 09:46 PM

I also think the GSXR is comfy, of the 09s the GSXR would be my pick but the exhaust would have to go even before I brought it home!

5'9 all torso. bout 185-190lbs

I felt right at home on the Gixxer as soon as I sat on it. I noticed nothing about the ergos.
Thats how good a fit it seemed. Where you don't even give it a thought.

ZX-10 felt wider and higher. It was ok. Just not as good as the gixxer. Felt like it was almost digging in to my inner thighs.

hee hee hee!!! As far as the exhaust goes.... I guess none of you peeped the exhaust on the ZX-10...

It doesn't matter, exhaust is the first thing to go for the most part.

Theres a reason GSXRs are the bike of choice for soooo many people. I felt the same way about mine. Exhausts are easily replaced!

Gixxers are nice but the seat's gotta go........Suzuki always makes thick, squishy seats that creep up into your asscrack and put pressure on your taint. I'd rather have a hard Honda seat.

Lets look at the bikes I've owned
83' CB-750 (540 lb dry - 600+ wet)
85 GPz-900r (500 lb dry - just under 600lbs wet)
93 ZX-11 (514 lb dry - 601lb wet)

I'm tired of fatties.

I'm switching course.
