165mph...06ZX10r....stock that thing flew and the Dunlop Qualifers were smooth are fucking hell. Once I put BT003s and did suspension work (including jacking up the rear) the thing would wobble at anything over 135mph.

My 600rr shakes over 140 with the race tires....I'm not sure how the AMA or the GP rider bikes get smooth over 140mph. Whenever I change to race tires and adjust the suspension the bike wobbles at high speed. Street tires never do.

It may be worth finding someone else to do your setup work. If anything the bike should feel more stable as speeds increase. My R6 felt like a missile at 160.

I've had it done by three different suspension guys. I mostly blame the tires though. Bridgestones are a hit or miss. 1 outta 3 isn't all that true. Besides race tires have a narrower contact patch upright than street tires as well as the bike becomes more unstable at higher speeds with the rear end raised.

My 600rr doesn't really wobble, but more like I feel the road and engine more. Kinda weird I guess. Its also not like the bike isn't stable, its just not as smooth.

140 indicated at the track but knowing the speedo on the SV it was probably more like under 130.

165 on the tiller before gearing the zx would do 140 in 3rd :) that was stupid tall gearing not fun going past 140 or so starts to strain the butthole. Im not a big fan of top speed, just getting up their is a blast.

How fast does a '82 GPz 750 with a kerker& carb kit go? It had one of those goofy 85 mph speedo's. My brother and I rode our bikes ( he had an '85 GPz 550 ) down to Kent Island MD in 86 to visit mom & step dad on their boat. One of the guys at the marina asked us early sunday morning which way was home. He had radar on his yacht and really nasty storms were heading our way.

Gary and I were heading up Rt 1 when I twisted the 750 tight. He later told me he was doing 135 mph and I was walking away from him like he was standing still. :lol

Love the 2 stories. My fastest was indicated 150mph on that long straight section near the gap. I couldn't help it.

I have no clue where my real speed would be. I guess 130-140 with stock gearing.

so who needs to update their speed?

I do I do.

Saw an indicated 170mph on the 750 a few weekends ago on a country road with a really long straight. Was still pulling too. We got some of it on vid (i'm not shown, so you will have to take my word for it). Scary part was right after we pulled over a cop came rolling by. Whew!!!

Not super exciting but it had my heart going. That white F4 is bad ass.

Fast is fun but this is what I really enjoy. This road is a hidden gem!

There is one other video on there that has me out in front of the camera. Not my best/smoothest riding but the pavement sucked.
