Wouldn't another perspective on the situation also be welcome? If a couple is trying to have a baby and they're dealing with issues of infertility (per your example), wouldn't a guy who's been through such things offer a different perspective? If they're trying to have a kid, there's two sides to it, both with unique challenges, especially in terms of infertility. Maybe the girl thinks he's shooting blanks and she casually throws out some symptom that another guy on the forum happens to recognize through personal experience, and he recommends a course of action, a medical procedure, or medication, that solves the problem because the original couple's doctor misdiagnosed it.

When you limit the available input by shutting out half the population, you miss out on points of view that differ from the selected group (general "you", not you in particular).

BUT, if we did start a women's section, (which Moira volunteered to Moderate) we could make a no catty bitching rule.... (i.e. just as this site has an unwritten rule of "if you're an asshole, expect to be called an asshole...." there could be an unwritten rule of "If you're a catty bitch, expect to get called such!" :lol: )

Even having the women's forum on the other site, I hung out in the Grandstands most of the time...some here hung out in the Bedroom too...:diitb:

I think the prospect just offers variety for folks. Yeah, it would be cool, but I won't shrivel up and die if it doesn't happen. Most of the other boards I frequent don't have NWS only or women's sections, so it really doesn't matter to me personally either way. I just like messing with the guys.:rockout: :idk:

Besides, CA wasn't "private", anyone could come in, guys just didn't post in there.

And do women really enjoy talking amongst themselves about having their period and all that shit? What is there honestly to discuss about such a thing? Do you compare the volume of blood that comes gushing out, or compare brands of tampons and the virtues of the absorbing material and the slim design? Perhaps is some female genetic hard wiring that makes that topic interesting, but it seems like having a period would be ones of those things that really doesn't need much discussing, especially on a public forum.
