yeah it's a lot cheaper if you only need dual lows... I think it's like 160 or so...

hmmm... i should look into that, and just keep my regular hi's.

from my understanding, it takes as few secs for HIDs to 'ignite' so in a case where one needs to quickly flash their lights, don't know how that will work. i may be wrong about the timing, but HID hi's will definitely get someone's attention.

It won't work. When I turn on my high beam, it takes it a few seconds to fully ignite.

it'll work fine for Cutty... as he said keep halogen HI's and HID lows... this will mean his HID will stay on all the time... and the halogen will only come on with HI's... so the only delay he'll have is when he starts the bike.

Yup.
But I wonder how much you would see the halogen's with the HID's on anyway??

it should still shine down the road well

I figured that... but i meant as far as flashing someone.
wonder if they would even notice...

well as long as your HID's ar cut off well they shouldn't be all that bright to drivers... they would just look really white.

Hey I've meant to mention/ask...my HID kit had like 1' long leads going to it. Where the fuck did you put the ballast?!?! I ended up splicing some hd wire to it and running the four leads to my tail section and attaching it to my subframe under the plastic. There just isn't any room for anything in the front fairing of my bike anyway...
