We seem to get a good amount of those. What's really fun is when there's no psych intake nurse and they just sit in the ER for hours on end with all those wonderful voice stewing in their head. And our hospital is restraint free, so it gets interesting.

All the real extreme edp's go to the g building at kings county (the one that made the news for someone dying on the waiting room floor) but if they walk in here we can take care of them. We do have some sort of restraint policy but we work around that if need be or just keep pumping the haldol and ativan. We had one guy here who thye had snowed in the Er for 3 days till he got a bed on the psych floor.

A free wall and an nailgun are a lot cheaper.
Of course, the combative, resourceful ones would rip out of their clothes and be running around nekkid starting shit. :idk:

Derf told me the other day he'd let me attempt to teach him to dance at the meet. That's going to be really interesting! :lmao:
