I just saw they already have the schedule made for next month & I somehow managed to get the same days off. Sweet! :D That is, if I don't get called in.

Like I told you, sweetie... work can turn into an abusive relationship if you don't draw clear lines.
I mean, if it's giving you what you need, go with it... but as for myself, I need some downtime.
Especially after my long week.

Seriously...Learn how to say no...they cant make you work

I know. At this point I'm happy to get one day off a week instead of a day off every other week. If I didn't have 2 kids that depend on me, I may not be willing to work all the extra hours.

Nah....knowing me, I would anyway.

Adeptus_Minor 01-14-2009 02:19 AM

Well, I may not have kids, but I have hobbies and gun-lust to fund... but you know, at some point, money just doesn't make it worth never having time to do anything besides work and sleep.
Working nights already blows my social calendar... extra work days would be adding insult to injury.

oh.. speaking of which, I need to PM someone.

Yes they can. For my shift at least. I signed on with the understanding I am on call on my off days for my shift, especially since I'm an acting supervisor. However, my supervisor asks me all the time if I'm ok working so much & always asks me to tell her if it's too much & she'll relieve me of some of the hours. The last couple of weeks in December was really pushing it, but I kept with it because I knew I'd be getting at least a small reprieve soon.

So yeah, if they wanted to be pricks about it, they could force me to either work or fire me.
