Off tonight, just killing time doing random shit. The one thing that sucks about being on an overnight schedule when I'm not working is the cravings for food that I can't have because nothing is open at this time. Sure, I could go to McDonalds and kill the hunger part, but what I could really go for right now is some fuckin Cuban food. Some Churrasco, rice and black beans, and a side of maduros would really hit the spot right now. Top it off with a big glass of horchata. Dammit I'm hungry.

2nd week on overnights i leanred that i have 2 options. 1) buy whatever i'm going to want before i start my shift. or 2) learn all the places open until 2am

Yeah, learned that one too. If you're lucky, or daring, you can try and catch the cafeteria before it closes at midnight, but the food sucks, and midnight is too early to take a lunch. One of the charge nurses makes a big thing of soup every night, so that's a nice little boost, and then every other weekend we all bring in a food item for a throw together potluck type of thing. And every now and then, when one of the doctors has a good weekend betting on football, he buys an assload of pizza or Olive Garden.

Tonight though, I'm home, and I want some god damned cuban food.

Yeah... I've learned to eat a good meal at home before work and then figure out which frozen dinners work best for me, or in some cases, bring leftovers from home.
The office where I work is on the outskirts of a little town that rolls up the streets at around 10pm and I don't get here until almost 11pm.
I think the taco bell might stay open late, but that's something my stomach doesn't need.

Not even a tasty crunchwrap supreme or volcano taco?

I never saw the point of the crunchwrap except to show off how fancy they can fold a tortilla. I also haven't been to Toxic Smell since they introduced the volcano taco.
Occasionally I start to think something they're advertising sounds good, but then I give in, have some, and it's icky and makes me fart my sphincter out.

It's a bit of a gimmick, but it's tasty. I still hold a bitter hatred against Taco Bell for getting rid of the fucking amazing Bacon Cheeseburger Burrito and BLT Soft Taco. I'll still eat there, but begrudgingly. Now if they brought those two menu items back, without fucking up the recipe, I'd eat there every day.

I'd also weigh 500lbs and sweat lard, but it'd be worth it.

You know, Taco Bell and KFC are owned by the same parent company, aren't they?
I'm starting to think they must do something in the processing of their food that doesn't agree with me.
(you might recall my rant about KFC making my nauseous a couple of pages back)

Yessir, as well as Pizza Hut as well. I think the company is called Yum! Brands, or some shit like that. There are a few Taco Bell/KFC combo places around here, and the slightly less popular Taco Bell/KFC/Kinda Pizza Hut places where the only part of the Pizza Hut menu offered is personal pan pizza and bread sticks and a few other small items.
