just pull off the tank...drain the gas, and get some new gas.

how easy is that to do?

Impossible on a buell xb12, because the FRAME is the gas tank!! There has to be a hose somewhere on it they can disconnect to drain the gas, but unfortunately, I have no idea where it is. :( Hope they get it working ok.

if the motor runs then try seafoam or gas drier first... if that doesn't help (it's not a instant fix... takes a bit... he'll still have a little bit reduced performance for the rest of the tank) then you can proced to drain the tank...

but that's just my :2cents:

Isn't the fuel in the frame? If there's water in the gas, try a gas-line antifreeze. It's an alcohol that mixes with the water and burns it.

Aparently they've tried gas dryer....about 50 miles ago and it made it worse

Looks like he'll need to find the fuel pump to drain the fuel.

from the quick searching I've done looks like the fuel drain is on the fuel pump...

Mr Lefty 05-18-2008 12:51 AM
