a little over 2 hrs for me. I got all the patients seen, 3 waiting for a dispo and a ton of charts waiting for me. Plus I have to feed one of our ekg techs this morning. he hung out over in my area and realy made up for the deficiencies in nursing that we had here.

I'm in need of some tea or something. That pot of coffee earlier and the Dr. Pepper a while ago didn't quite give me enough boost to get past the overwhelming sleepiness that hits me after eating.

Finally fucking home. Tonight was a long one. There were two completely useless pieces of shit that decided to hide up in the outpatient services area and "call in authorizations" instead of helping with the registration. So it was myself and one other hard worker busting our asses to knock out a huge backlog of people who nobody bothered to register on the shift before us. I don't know if it was a good or bad thing, but the two lazy pieces of shit left at 11pm, so it was myself and one other registrar for the rest of the night. We were getting our asses kicked all night. There seemed to be an excessive amount of kids tonight for some reason. It's odd because we don't have any pediatrics or ob/gyn departments. Any kids who come in end up getting transfered out if it's something that can't be handled in the emergency room, and any pregnancies are also shipped off once they're stabilized unless the kid is in a rush to leave mommy's womb. I guess the people tonight didn't get the memo though.

And to top off all the complete fucking bullshit, management changed our schedule again, cutting more hours. We've had our schedules completely changed five seperate times so far this month. They've picked a fucked up time to leave a skeleton crew working with season ramping up quickly. Fucking douche bags. Just gotta hold out for two more weeks until my transfer kicks in. Then they can eat shit for all I care.

It's Sunday night, bitches.

When I was picking up my order at Chili's, I was chatting with a lovely, well-spoken young lady who works there.
We talked for a while, about Christmas plans and after I mentioned my cruise possibly stopping in Cozumel, she said her sister had her honeymoon there.
Now I'm thinking this girl is, you know.. college age.. early 20's...
Then she says "And I'm going to Costa Rica in a few months... it'll be for my 18th birthday."

...she's 17...
