Just working, 1 to 9pm pst, thats why i'm hardly on anymore. Sleep til noon, get home, eat, wind down, etc etc and i hardly get time to play on the inet anymore. Now i am fostering a pug so its double the trouble at the apt, i've been alone the past 2 night sitting on the couch just to recuperate.

Pretty much the same old shit. My hours at work have changed some. I'm not 9p-5a, although lately I've been working a ton of OT.

The rest of my life is still pretty much the same, except I moved to a better place. Still riding, still single, still doing what I damn well please.

The fucking inservice I went to was a joke. It takes me about half an hour to get to work, so it's a bit of an annoyance to have to go in when I'm not working a full shift, but this was a bitch.

Here's the entirety of my inservice, which I drove half an hour to get to:

Me: Hey Brenda, I'm here for the inservice
Brenda: You're here a little early, but that's good, we can get this outta the way
Me: Sounds good, so what's the deal?
Brenda: Ok, when stroke patients come in, they go to one of two places. 6 North or ICU.
Me: Like we've been doing, gotcha. What else?
Brenda: That's it. Oh, and attach a face sheet to the pink stroke paper and put it in the folder.
Me: And?
Brenda: That's all. Now go sign the sign in sheet and you're free to go.

And that was it. All of it. Not even 1 minute. I mean it's cool that it wasn't excessively long, but fucking hell, half an hour drive and another half hour back for a 1 minute inservice fucking sucks.

You bitch about as much as the person in your avatar does redflip

Umm....I'd be pissed, personally. That's fucking stupid! They could have just had you come in a few minutes before shit and told you that.

It's kind of typical. All the inservices, meetings, and other general nonsense is scheduled during the week between 7 and 9. That's great if you're day shift, and kind of ok if you're getting off at 7. But if you're weekends or mid days, you're all kinds of fucked. Blah.

Dunno. I believe it's Telemetry and some Med/Surg at Aventura. 4th floor is our looney bin.
