The other thing they did is require any cancellations to be completed 60 days prior to the date. In essence, if you made a reservation early you couldn't cancel it and you were required to pay the higher price.

I don't think I have ever heard of such a thing. They guy who had this happen was staying at the Hampton Inn in Carmel, IN. His price went from $400 to $600.

well I called a couple days ago to see about canceling the 11th and they didn't say anything... but i'll have my legal office on their ass if they try raising the price... that's the whole point of reserving them early... to avoid the obvious price hike.
