If he was really trying to kill her wouldn't he have just bitten her instead of pushing her around through the water. I'm sure that Orcas have no concept of drowning in the very short time span it takes a human to drown...

Ya, they have a history of killing things while playing, but its generally more laid back in videos. That was a relentless onslought.

Meh, I dunno dude, I've seen how violent they are when they kill seals and such....this very much seemed like play by comparison.

Are you sure thats a video from the recent attack? It doesnt look like the reports, the whale had the trainer in its mouth.

If you watch closer he does get her in his mouth. I've seen pleny of video of orcas "playing" with their food. That video looked pretty typical to me; but I'm no Steve Erwin.

Because the big fella isnt to blame. He's a prisoner in a cement cell. He shouldnt be there, and he's bound to lash out.

While that is a common sense answer (and my exact thought), the reality is probably more along the lines of how much $ the Shamu shows generate.
